I have the following annual public survey data where children are being counted by neighborhood in a Latin American City (there are more neighborhoods than listed but kept it short for the sake of the post). Each year there is a total provided of children under each age group and a var listing the year where the survey results came from. I am looking to get a few things from the following data:
1) Looking to find out the total number of 9 year olds part of the sample across all years analyzed (i.e. how many 9 year old children are counted for all years = 2001,2002, and so on..)
2) For a given year I am looking to find the total number of children ppart of the survey (i.e. in 2001 what is the sum of all the aages (9-17) across all cities)
Are there any recommendations you all have to get to these answer? What would be the codes needed to get there?
