Problem:
When I attempt to run ivreg2 I receive the error message: "Error: must have ranktest version 01.3.02 or greater installed". I have installed the latest ranktest and this hasn't changed.
Situation:
I am working using Stata 15 in a secure environment which does not have internet access so have uploaded all my .ado files manually. I don't have access to c:\ado so have set my own ado path and have Stata working from there (I'm wondering if this may be part of my problem).
I have already tried:
- making sure I have the latest version of ivreg2 (4.1.11), ranktest (2.0.04) and overid (3.0.0)
- I have livreg2.mlib
- I have also made sure mata has compliled a mlib programme by using "mata: mata mlib index"
- I have also used "which ivreg2" etc. to ensure Stata isn't running an old version of ivreg2, ranktest or overid from somewhere else.
I'm a newish Stata user so any help would be very appreciated, thank you.
