I am a relatively new user of Stata and was trying to evaluate an ANOVA analysis and investigate the residuals. I converted a string variable to a numeric variable using the encode command and preceded to run an ANOVA which ran fine. I typed predict r, residuals and got an error last estimate not found which I interpreted as the residuals were not found to then run a Q-Q plot or kdensity plot. The thing I don't understand is that I did the same analysis two days prior and it worked. Can someone help explain to me what may be given this error?
Thanks,
andre
