Dear Statalists:
I am doing a research on the determinants of securities offering choices (Season equities, convertible bonds and bonds) However, I have data from 2000 - 2018. And different companies annouce securities offering at different times. This means only firms characteristics that are prior to the announcement dates are relevant and useful for the regression. Now I have ALL FIRM Characteristics data from 2000-2018, my question is that how do I match it with the announcement dates, do I have a short cut in the stata.
Thanks!
