Dear Forum,
I have a short question regarding the ASGEN command with weights. I am creating value weighted average returns of portfolios weighted by the variable mkvaltq (quarterly market cap). In the case the mkvaltq variable is missing does asgen automatically ignore the observation of the company in that period, so no average return is generated for that period? Or does asgen ignore that one missing mkvaltq?
Best regards,
Jesse
