Dear Statalist community,
thanks, as always, to KitBaum, a new user written command named zippkg is now available on SSC.
The program is a tool to download community-contributed content from the internet, and create a ZIP archive from it. Its purpose is to ease the distribution of such content to machines not connected to the internet, be it in data centers, secure enclaves, or any other scenario. Also, it may help in equipping new Stata installations with a set of preinstalled packages.
Naturally, feedback or comments on the new command are welcome. The package development is taking place in a repository on GitHub, so users familiar with the issue system over there is welcome to directly post issues. Of course, you can also contact me here or via email if you don't want to use GitHub.
Kind regards
Bela
