At the 2018 US Stata Conference, Mary Prier gave an overview of a new command to make an organ pipe plot, which:
1. Is a vertical bar chart to summarize prevalence (coverage) of a binary outcome in a cluster survey
2. Helps visualize cluster level heterogeneity (i.e., visualize intra-cluster correlation)
3. Helps identify clusters with surprisingly low (or high) coverage - these may warrant special programmatic attention
The command opplot is now available via the SSC. Simply type 'findit opplot' or 'net install opplot.pkg' at the Stata prompt. There is a demo .do file available, as well.
Note that the help file includes a link to a 2019 update to the conference slides; the slide deck has been augmented to describe some new command options.
Best regards,
-Dale & Mary
