Does anyone know how to calculate the monthly excess return for SMB, HML, MOM and MKTRF? mf_mnret stands for 'Win. Monthly Net Return on fundlevel using TNA VW of Share Class Returns' . I tried to generate an excess with: gen excessReturn = mf_u_mnret - rf (which i am unsure of) and dont know how to go further. Thank you in advance!
The goal is to reach the following table II of Carhart in https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/...1997.tb03808.x (page 62)
