Hi,
I am working with two different sets of panel data, where I have monthly observations for 42 different groups. The set with my dependent variables goes from 2018-2020, 24 months, while the data over the independent variable stretches the same years but only for 22 months (Jan-Oct). So, my problem is that I want to use as much information as possible and therefor I need to merge both of the datasets using the group-specific variable and the time variable. Are therefor wondering if it's possible to extend the second dataset with two months and then add the time periods of November and December 2020?
I am quite lost, so don't have any ideas for code.
