Hello everyone,
I am relatively new with stata and I am currently conducting a fixed-effects regression. I want to include cohorts (as variable for generations) and control for age. I read a lot of articles saying that I should center age in order to check for VIF after running the regression (i.e., multicollinearity). Now I have the following question: Do I first have to mean center age, then include age in the fixed effects regression with i.country and afterwards run the VIF? Or can I use age without centering?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Paula
