Dear team,
I have a crossover design with following repeated data structure:
Two methods for measuring an outcome are given to subject in two occasions each method. The sequence of applied methods are:
* sequence 1: method 1, method 2, method 2 and method 1
* secuence 2: method 2, method 1, method 1 and method 2
subject method sequence occasion outcome
1 1 1 1 1.91
1 2 1 2 1.87
1 2 1 3 1.6
1 1 1 4 1.5
2 2 2 1 6.1
2 1 2 2 5.8
2 1 2 3 3.5
2 2 2 4 4.9
... ... ... ... ...
I'm interested in evaluate if there is a sequence effect but I don't know how because the two occasions. Normally in crossover we would have different methods in each subject, with period and sequence effects. Perhaps we should treat the sequence as being methods 1 and 2 or 2 and 1 inside occasions, instead methods 1221 or 2112.
I would appreciate if you can help me.
Thank you in advance,
Jorge
