Hi
I am fairly new to stata and I have some data that I am evaluating for patients receiving cancer treatment. I have the number of sessions of treatment they have had i.e. session 1,2,3..
I have then merged a dataset with blood test results. I want to understand how many blood tests were performed around the time for each treatment session ( -7days -+7 days) and create a new variable with this number.
I have all the tests under 1 variable currently as string variables then the result numerically in the next variable column. There is one particular test I am interested in, is it possible to count just these by generating a new variable.
