I am using stata (for the first time) for my thesis. At the moment I have got a large database with 3 variables: labour, capital and value added from 1995 to 2015, over 20+ industries covering 27 countries using different currencies.
Capital and value added are 'at current prices in millions of national currency'. In order to go on with my regression etc I need to transform all these numbers to Euro, taking into account the different exchange rates over these years(?). Is there a simple way of doing this?The table is an example of how the dataset looks. countries with different currencies are: UK, US, Denmark, CZ, Poland, ...
country | industry | year | Value added | Labour | Capital |
AT | 1 | 1995 | 125 | 25 | 36 |
AT | 2 | 1995 | |||
AT | 1 | 1996 | |||
AT | 2 | 1996 | |||
BE | 1 | 1995 | |||
BE | 2 | 1995 | |||
CZ | 1 | 1995 | 3265 | 32 | 1548 |
Thanks in advance for your help!
