Hello,
I am doing a project right now where I need to create grids of observations based on geographical coordinates. In essence, for each observation I have its geographical coordinates and I want to create 100m grids, based on these coordinates. I found some slides made by Maurizio Pisati for an Italian stata meeting and I followed the codes presented there. I changed my database to look like “Italy-OutlineCoordinates.dta”. I used geo2xy to convert the geographical coordinates into cartesian coordinates. However, I run the exact code it's outlined in those slides and I get the error “not a valid basemap dataset”. I don’t understand what it could be given that my file looks exactly like that one. Do you have any idea of what could be the problem?
Thanks
