Hello,
I've done a competing risk analysis of the risk of dementia with kidney disease (the competing risk is death). See the results below of the regular Cox regression following by competing risk analysis. I would expect to see an increasing risk of dementia with decreasing eGFR (worsening renal function) as demonstrated here but this goes in the opposite direction in competing risk analysis which I can't quite understand? Those with eGFR<30 would also be at greatest risk of death. Would appreciate any thoughts!
