I am currently doing data analysis and got stuck by the interpretation of my results.
In a first regression model, I used the absolute number of new Covid infections as a dependent variable to explain the credit spread of bonds. I found significance, indicating that higher Covid infection numbers led to lower credit spreads. Afterwards, I did the same analysis but used the natural logarithm of the new Covid infection numbers. In this case, I did not find a significant relationship. I was looking up ways to interpret this result and found ways to interpret the log result, but I did not find an interpretation of the fact, that the absolute number yielded a significant result, while the log value clearly did not.
I think this must be interpretable in some way, but I do not find anything meaningful currently. Thank you very much for your help.
