Dear All,
I have encountered that the file open dialog of the do-editor does not show some files in Stata 16.1 (Revision 21 Jan 2021) on Windows 10 (64-bit). Refer to the screenshot below. After switching the filter to show all files, I expected to see more files in the dialog, but they are not shown there. The files do exist, and appear in the search box when the file names are typed. The files are not anything special (hidden, readonly or otherwise notably different). Could it be that ALL FILES is a shortcut for ALL KNOWN FILES? Which is cumulative of all other extensions listed there?
I can't be 100% sure, but I believe earlier (before the Jan update) it was showing *.class files when I was changing the filter. (Note that *.class type is not selectable in either before Jan, nor currently released version of Stata 16.)
If this is happening only for my system, or if this is already fixed, then sorry for the false alarm.
Thank you, Sergiy
