I have 4 different variables in a larger data set. Each of these 4 variables have responses coded as: agree (2) neither agree or disagree (1) disagree (0). Each of these as about 1000 observations. lets say their names are var1, var 2, var3 and var4. Is it possible to combine these so I have another variable (e.g. var5) that has 4000 observations?
