I have a dependent variable that is measured in the past and present, and these two are coded as two separate variables. I want to run a repeated-measures ANOVA to see if my categorical independent variable is related to this difference. However, when I review the syntax for repeated measures ANOVA, I see that it's always in the form of repeated (variablex) instead of having two variables. Is this because repeated measures ANOVA is not the appropriate test here (and I should use MANOVA instead) or is there an alternative way of writing it?
Thank you,
