Hello Everyone,
I have been reading some literature on Recentered Influence function and Influence function. I have tried to understand the concept, but I am little confused in constructing and using these functions.
For example I have an continuous dependent (or variable), health status. Now when we talk about IF or RIF functions. What we actual talk about the change or deviate of the distribution. So wondering whether we talk about how a small change in the explanatory variables might change the distribution of health variable or addition of a new data point will change the distributional statistics of health variable. Can some please explain elaborate on this with an example.
Thanks in advance.
