Hi all,
My name is Thomas Leirvik, and have a few questions about plotting using Stata (sorry for my non-identifying username).
I have a panel data with a script for a figure (files attached). The dataset contains 18 individuals (panel variable is 'id') over 42 years (time variable is 'year').
Individual 1 is observations, and individuals 2-18 contains simulated estimates for temperature and (solar) radiation.
The variables I want to plot are temperature and radiation.
However, some of the individuals belong to the same class of models: for example id=3, 4, 5, and 6 all belong to a particular type of Global Climate Model (GCM).
For the plot, I want a legend only for the class of model, not for each id.
Some other things:
1) The x-axis should start in 1964 and end in 2005 (not 1960 through 2010)
2) The meantemp should be dashed, not solid
3) I also want a title
I know I can do all this using the Graph editor, but it will be very time consuming, in particular when this is only the first of many figures for many variables.
I have also attached a figure where I did everything manually, which is the way I want the figure to look like.
Best,
Thomas Leirvik
