Dear all,
i hope that you are doing good,
i would like to know if the threshold variable plays the same role of of the moderator variable in a linear regression ? ( the moderator variable in a linear relationship plays the same role of the threshold variable ?)
for example studding the moderating role of firm performance in the relationship between financial constraints (X) and risk taking (Y), here firm performance is the threshold variable. if we are studying the linear relationship, here firm performance is the moderator variable ? ( in other words, interaction (for linear regression) = moderation (for threshold regression) ?
Best regards
SEDKI
