First announcement and call for presentations

The 2022 Northern European Stata Conference will be in Oslo, Norway, at Oslo Cancer Cluster Innovation Park on Wednesday 12 October 2022. The conference will start at 09:00, with registration from 08:30, and end at 17:00 (CEST).

This conference provides Stata users the opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and information on new applications of Stata. Anyone interested in using Stata is welcome. Representatives from StataCorp will attend, and there will be an open panel discussion with StataCorp representatives where you may air your thoughts to Stata developers.

Submissions

Please email the scientific committee if you are interested in giving a presentation. Indicate whether you wish to give
  • a 20 min talk (followed by a 10 min discussion),
  • a 10 min talk (followed by a 5 min discussion),
  • some other presentation.
Abstracts should be sent by email no later than 15 June 2022 to

Presentations could focus on a topic of interest, including but not limited to
  • using Stata for modeling and analysis
  • user-written Stata programs
  • using Stata for data management
  • using Stata for graphics
  • teaching Stata, or teaching statistics with Stata
  • use of Stata in specific fields: applications and criticisms
  • software comparisons
  • python integration
No level of sophistication is assumed for presenters or attendees. The scientific organisers look forward to hearing from you with presentation offers or to discuss the suitability of a potential contribution. Presenters will be asked to provide the organizers with electronic materials (a copy of the presentation and any programs or datasets, where applicable) so that the materials can be posted on the StataCorp website and in the Stata Users Group RePEc archive.

Multilevel Mixed Effects Survival Analysis

Target audience:

Statisticians and researchers with a good working knowledge of the principles and practice of survival analysis, including modelling of survival data.
Aims:
Provide an overview of multilevel mixed effects survival analysis including recurrent event analysis and joint recurrent-terminal event models

Introduce and illustrate tools in Stata for conducting multilevel survival analysis, including both modelling and prediction, with a focus on calculating clinically useful predictions.
