Hi all,
I'm currently working on my master thesis, but appear to be a little bit stuck - maybe someone can help me here? I want to conduct a DiD estimation with matching - thus I defined my outcome, my treatment, a time indicator pre/post treatment, a few covariates and I'm controlling for country fixed effects. In order to polish my estimate, I want to improve balancing by nearest neighbour matching using the mahalanobis metric - no propensity score matching. My current plan was to match my observations based on the pre-treatment covariates, in order to obtain the potentially smaller subsample only consisting of matched pairs - where I then want to apply the DiD on.
However, I wasn't able to generate or obtain the matched subsample so far (I was trying "psmatch2" and "mahapick"), and I couldn't find a way to drop unsuited controls. Does anyone know how to generate this matched data file, where I can apply my DiD on, using "psmatch2" / "Mahapick"? Or are there maybe more suitable command packages?
Thank you very much for any help and best regards,
Robert
