Dear STATA users,
I am trying to understand the computational aspect of DFL (1996) counterfactual decomposition. To do this, I am trying to replicate the decomposition table (Pg 32, DFL (996)) using the web materials (data and the do-file) made available by the authors. However, I can only generate the left-hand column of the table (total change) but cannot understand how to compute the decomposition of attributes and other variables.
I someone has done this exercise before, please help me.
I am also
Thanks
NB: .dta file and my version of do-file. The data file and assignment (equivalent to do file) is available at the home page of Prof Fortin
