Hi all

I'm pretty new to STATA, but with the help of lurking on this forum I've actually improved a lot. I thank you for that. I have a (I presume) pretty simple task I want to do, but STATA doesn't really want to comply.

I have this data set

Now, I want to create a table, where the confidence interval for all age groups are calculated and displayed as one table. As of now, when I use

Code:
. ci Mean, by(age) total
STATA calculates everything as wished, but it spits everything out in different tables which I can't figure out how to combine. I've searched this forum and found this

https://www.statalist.org/forums/for...ther-variables

Which is exactly, what I wanna do as well, but when I follow the instructions from Nick Cox, I get this message

Code:
no; data in memory would be lost
Now, that's frustrating. I know it's a pretty simple task, I just can't get my head wrapped around it. Can any of you guys offer help me out?

Regards
Patrick Moller
