Dear all, I would like to know your feedback about something I am struggling with since a lot.
I would like to calculate a modified version of the "location quotient" on my data.
This quotient is given by the formula (ei\e) / (Ei\E), where:
ei = quota of workers in the fifth quintile of job quality distribution in region A of country A
e = quota of total workers in region A of country A
Ei = quota of workers in the fifth quintile of job quality distribution in country A
E = quota of total workers in country A
I would like to do this for several regions and countries. I have calculated the quintiles, but I do not know how to calculate this index.
Do you have any clue about that?
Thanks, best, G
