I have an excel data set in the format having first Column as Date, and following Columns have daily returns of different companies number around 500 to 600. Each column is labelled with individual company name. The worksheet contains one year of daily returns data. I want to transform this data set into cross sectional format showing first column for Company Name, Second for Date and Third for Returns.
