Dear Statalist,
I have a time series on road accidents that happened in a particular region. Each accident is recorded as a separate observation defined by two main variables - longitude and latitude of its location. Apart from this, I have five road-zones which I am interested in. These are defined by GPS coordinates of their start and end point. For each accident I want to find out if it happened in one of these specific zones, and if yes, in which one. Do you have any advice?
Thanks a lot!
