In specific, I want to control for industry*year fixed effect. When I control for SIC2 industry classification * year fixed effect, this problem does not exist. But when I control for SIC3 industry classification * year fixed effect, this problem happens. Is it the justification for me to use SIC2 instead SIC3 in my research?
