Hi there,
I'm pretty new to stata but I'm doing a thesis on the closure of youth clubs in London and whether or not these closures increased knife crime in subsequent areas. I've managed to do a simple DiD regression. My data goes from 2008m1 till 2018m12 and closures can happen any time between 2010m1 up until 2018m12. I'd now like to create an event study in the sense that I'd like to eliminate the variation in treatment timing. I split my data into separate datasets in order to create a new variable newtime which takes (-5, 6) indicating 5 periods before and 6 after for every month.
I then appended the data back so I have it all in one data set. Can anyone suggest where to go from here?
If I haven't been clear at all then let me know
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
