Hello all, I am new to Stata, and have a midterm exam. I am hoping someone can help with a newbie quesiton.
I am using ESS data where the subjects are interviewed between Jan 11 and May 2nd There are two variables I am interested in combining. The day and the month. I need to make a histogram of the dates from January 11th up to Feb 18th, and then again from Feb 20th to May second. Leaving out Feb 19th.
Since the day of the interview and the month of the interview are two different values, coded quite differently, how can I make a histogram that has the spread of interviews from january to may by day on the x axis and number of interviews on those days on the y axis?
Is there a way to recode the data in order to show this information? I hope I have included the information necessary, happy to elaborate!
