Hello,

I was wondering if you could assist me with a number of issues i am experiencing in relation to using stata. I would like to conduct a time series analysis on crimes reported to three difference police services for the past 3 years. I have downloaded data from the office of national statistics and i merged all of them in stata. Now i would like to find the percentage relative change between 2018-2021 but i am so confused on how to do this

Issues
1) I have a total number of observations = 4,641,457 but when i sort my data i have 27 observations that show as dots (see picture 1 below)
2) My data is from June 2018 to May 2021. I have tabulated the crime counts per year but i still feel that i have done something wrong because if the dataset does not include the data for the full year then the analysis will be wrong right ? (Please see picture 2 below for further details). How do you perform a time series analysis from here to identify the percentage change and identify whether there was an increase or reduction in physical crimes during those years?
3) What type of additional analysis is needed to present the results ?

I would really appreciate your help with this. I am currently in the process of completing my dissertation for my master's but because of the rapid change in the learning environment, i have received little to no support with stata and i find it difficult to do this.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Albie
