Hi! I'm working with my master thesis and struggling av bit with handling some of my variables in Stata. In a question from my surve the respondents are asked to choose "a maximum of two alternatives" (it's about what they consider their main activity/activities). In stata, this variable now appears as 9 distinct variables, but I hoped it would be one variable that I could recode into a dummy set. Is it possible to merge the variables and make that happen?
Thanks to anyone spending time answering.
