Hi all!
I hope you can help me out with the interpretation of my regression results as the internet does not helped me much so far.
I did a regression analysis with an interaction term between a continuous and a factor variable. The factor variable consists of 3 categories.
After running the regression, the output gives me 3 different values for the coefficients and p-values (one for each category). But how do I interpret these results ?
I understand that by default, the category 0 was seen as base value. If the p-values of category 1 and 2 are statistically significant, can I then say that the moderating hypothesis is supported?
And what about the differences between these values? As the hypothesis just is formulated as: variable Z has a moderating effect on the relationship between X and Y., when the variable Z consists of 3 categories.
Thanks in advance!
