I'm trying to combine two discrete variables, in this case, cmarried - number of children from married households and csingle - number of children from non-married households. I would like to combine them to form a variable pmarried - percentage of children from a married household.
I'm a little bit clueless about stata and I can't figure this out. If anyone would be able to help it would be much appreciated. Thanks
