I would really appreciate to have your opinion on this idea:

My master thesis is about analyzing how transition to daylight saving time affects sporting performance in basketball. However, I don't want to just look at e.g. scoring baskets as performance. I would like to define performance as a function of several variables (baskets + assists - personal fouls etc.). This new performance defintion would then be my dependent variable.
As I will do a regression discontinuity design, do you think this works with this new defined multivariate Y?
