Hi all,
I am using the short form of SLE (stressful life events), which is an extract of the Holmes & Raine Stressful Life Events & Daily Hassles questionnaire. We query the occurrence 16 stressful life events, both positive and negative, in the preceding year.
I need to weight the items by the Rahe scale loadings (which I already got) to get an SLE load. Does anyone know how to get the total load using item weights? Do I just multiply the item and weight and add them up?
e.g.,
sle_load = item1 * weight1 + item2*weight2 ….. ?
Thank you!
Maggie
