First time poster - greetings all! I am working on Stata 15.1 on a closed system without internet access (due to information security), meaning I have no possibility to download additional Stata modules. I have for some time tried to make a simple descriptive (baseline) table for use in medical research (similar to any baseline table/Table 1 used in medical journals), comparing the baseline characteristics of two groups (e.g. according to sex or disease). For simplicity, these variables may be age, height, weight and medical history (e.g. dichotomous variables such as history of hypertension, history of diabetes). The grouping variable would accordingly be displayed vertically with the separate covariates horizontally, something like this:
Array
My apologies if this has been answered in detail previously, but I have not been able to find a solution on this list or in the Stata documentation. Even making a simple table with only two covariates displayed horizontally (e.g. height and BMI with mean [SD]) and the grouping variable vertical seems impossible. Any suggestions?
Best regards,
Magnus
