Hi Everyone,
I am presently working on a household survey data which has information about wages and some groups eg Occupation, sectors, education level, gender.
My questions are;
1. How can I transform the wages to log wages
2. I have a variable- Occupation which has the following category; How do I define, rename or categorize the variables properly before carrying out regression?
1 = Managers and administrators 2 = Professional 3 = Associate professional and technical 4 = Clerical and secretarial 5 = Craft and related 6 = Personal and protective service 7 = Sales 8 = Plant and machine operatives 9 = Other (includes not stated) ' ‘ = Not Applicable.
For example; I want occupation to take the value of 1 if workers are managers and administrators.
