Hi all,
I am new to this forum and a very new STATA user so any help or suggestions at all is appreciated! I am working on health econ project where I have created what is called a "frailty index" for health. Basically, it is a sum of how many adverse health factors you have divided by how many possible in data set. So, I have say 30 possible health deficits, and you have 3 of them, then your score on the frailty index is .1. I have created this variable for 1979-1996 and 1997-2018 and I want to compute gini coefficients so that I can see the level of inequality in the frailty index over time. Is ginidesc the best way to do this? Can you give suggestions?
Thank you!
Lindsey
