New iscogen package available from SSC
A new package called iscogen is now available from SSC. To install the package, type
iscogen is a tool to translate ISCO codes (International Standard Classification of Occupations). It provides similar functionality as the isco and isko packages for ISCO-68 and ISCO-88 (both available from SSC), but has various additional features. For example, ISCO-08, the European Socio-economic Classification, and OESCH classes are supported. Furthermore, iscogen is much faster on large datasets (codes are translated using a fast indexing method).
