Hello,
I want to assess the impact of migration on the trade. So I have trade data between one destination country and 50 origin countries for 20 years. I am trying to use the command xtset for my panel data. For that I first use the command encode Reporter, gen(destination) and encode Partner, gen(origin).
Then I typed xtset origin year
My question is: Am I doing it correctly when I tell stata that my panelvar is origin and my timevar is year ?
Or stated differently, are the two commands that I stated before correctly used?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cristina
