Dear All,
I try to create a survival time variable. Data were collected between 1997 and 2015 and I am interested in testing whether persons without disabilities remain longer in their first management position as compared to persons with disabilities. I have already created a dummy variable that identifies the entry time into the very first management position (point of data collection during which one reports to be holding a management position for the very first time). Now I need to identify the time point during which the person reports not to be holding this management position anymore. The difference between these two points in time will allow me to assess individual survival time in a management position).
Do you have any ideas how I could create this variable?
I would appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance!
Anna
