Hi all,
I am modeling daily deaths per 100,000 from COVID-19 by country. Given the natural rise and subsequent fall over time of the dependent variable, I feel that a spline regression is appropriate. However, the pace and timing of this natural rise and fall varies significantly by country. As such, the appropriate position and number of knots differs by panel. Is there a way to programmatically generate different spline structures specific to each country? I am currently using Stata 14.
Thanks,
Nick
