Hi, folks
I am new to STATA switching from RevMan to stata for my meta analysis. I have binary outcome data in events / totals for comparison of two devices likely BP(outcome MI) events BP total ; VAD events and total. For meta analysis using random effect model in stata from drop down menu it generates logg odds ratio. Can someone guide me step by step here. I have read alot but didn;t understand for binary outcomes do we have to calculate seperate odds ratio first and then analyse or how does stata codes work in this case.
I used this code:
meta esize vadcvae vadcvat bpcvae bpcvat, esize(lnoratio)
it generate loggs odds ratio for some reason, and CI are different than revman software analysis.
any help will be appreciated.
