Dear all,
I have to investigate the determinants of a certain ordinal dependent variable which can be studied based on level and change. After reading several papers it seems to me that the ordered probit model is moslty used to investigate level dependent variables and the logit model is used when the dependent variable consists of a change specification. I would like to hear your opinion on this issue. Are logit models truly better to study changes. If so why is it the case? I could not find any reference in this respect.
I thank you very much for your answer.
Kind regards
