I am doing a Stata analysis using the variable; agriculture land use (agriculture land/total land). This results in a ratio from 0 - 1. For example the agriculture land use ratio for Austria is 0.333971246. However, Stata does not recognize this number and values this number as 57. In Stata the agriculture land use variable it is a numeric (float) variable, format %13.2fc. I want Stata to see 0.333971246 as 0.333971246 and not 0.333971246 as 57. What should I do?
A short list of ratios and the values Stata gives to those ratios:
0.333971246 | 57 |
0.331322528 | 56 |
0.32913693 | 54 |
0.43006682 | 75 |
