Hi all,
I am trying to standardise 'ethnicity' variable into four categories:
1. white
2. black
3. asian
4. other
I have currently got:
1. white
2. black
3. indian
4. pkstni, bngldeshi
5. other
6. na, refused
I want to put "indian, pkstni, bngldeshi" into "asian" and also "na,refused" in "other".
I have been recommended to create a new variable and then proceed. Please help.
