Hi Stata users,
I have a question regarding reduced form estimations. I have regressed my dependent variable (Gini coefficient) on all exogenous and instrumental variables to get the reduced form outputs. The results show that the coefficient of one of my instruments is significant.
How can I interpret this coefficient? As the instrument significantly impacts the dependent variable, is it an invalid instrument? Is the exclusion restriction violated?
I hope to hear from you!
